“Please replace my historic doors” The Project Started here: Broken and tattered, as many of us are, the doors needed to be replaced. The request was to keep them historically accurate in their style and joinery, as the building was historically land-marked. Making it happen: Using local hardwoods, I designed the door with a combination of lap joints and mortise and tenon joinery. The design: I went with a dutch door style as an improvement, allowing for airflow while someone is inside. Build it. The upper door ended up simply beautiful. Again, my apologies for not having a picture of the final hung doors.
